Slate vs Non-Slate Pool Tables
The first scope question is whether the table uses slate, engineered panels or another playing surface. Slate systems can be dramatically heavier and may require specialist handling beyond ordinary product assembly. Send the manufacturer or seller information so the table construction is identified before scheduling.
Cabinet, Legs and Bed Assembly
Assembly can include the cabinet or frame, legs, support beams and bed sections. The frame must be stable and square before the playing surface is finalized. NY-GoodHome does not assume the same assembly process for every billiard table because consumer models and traditional slate tables differ substantially.
Leveling and Playing-Surface Setup
Basic leveling of a compatible new product can be part of normal setup when provided by the manufacturer. Precision slate installation, seam work and professional refelting require a specialist scope. If the cloth is loose, torn or being replaced, identify that before the project is accepted as assembly.
Heavy Components, Stairs and Elevator Access
Slate pieces and large cabinet sections can be difficult to move through New York buildings. Provide stair, elevator and doorway details, including whether the table is already inside the final room. NY-GoodHome does not automatically include specialty billiard moving or insured transport.
Assembly vs Moving, Refelting or Repair
For furniture-style recreation products use Arcade & Game Table Assembly, Table Tennis Table Assembly or Air Hockey as appropriate. Use Contact with the exact model and specify whether the request is new assembly, relocation, refelting or repair so the scope is not mixed.
Project Details to Confirm
Identify the playing-surface construction from the manufacturer or seller: one-piece slate, multi-piece slate, MDF/engineered board or another system. Include approximate component weights if published and show stairs/elevators. If the cloth is removed, torn or requires replacement, mention it explicitly because refelting and slate-seam work are specialist tasks rather than automatic assembly steps.
