Sofas, Sectionals and Modular Seating
Modular seating may include multiple corner, armless and chaise sections that connect in a specific order. Send the complete configuration, not just one module. Reversible chaise products can have left/right layouts that should be decided before hardware is tightened.
Frames, Legs, Arms and Section Connections
Assembly can include legs, arm panels, backrests, brackets and interlocking sectional connectors. The manufacturer hardware should be used as supplied. NY-GoodHome does not alter frames or fabricate new brackets to force incompatible sections together.
Sleeper and Reclining Components
Sleeper sofas or powered recliners can include mechanisms and plug-in connections that differ from a fixed couch. Basic manufacturer-directed assembly is different from repairing a bent sleeper frame, motor, switch or wiring fault. Existing mechanical problems should be disclosed.
Doorways, Elevators and Tight Apartment Access
Measure the narrowest doorway, elevator opening and stair turn before the sofa is fully assembled. A product that arrived in sections may not fit through the same route after assembly. Send access photos for walk-ups or unusually tight rooms.
Assembly vs Couch Disassembly for Moving
This page covers new boxed assembly. If an existing sofa must be partially dismantled to fit through a door or move to another property, that is a different scope. Mixed household items can use Furniture Assembly, and media furniture has its own page. Use Contact with the full configuration and access information.
Before Assembly
Confirm all sectional connectors, legs, power supplies or sleeper parts are present. If the sofa is used, has damaged upholstery or a failed mechanism, separate that repair issue from assembly so expectations stay factual.
Project Details to Confirm
Show the intended left/right sectional layout and list any sleeper, reclining or powered modules. Include doorway, stair and elevator dimensions if the finished piece may be difficult to move. If the sofa already needs upholstery, frame or mechanism repair, disclose that before scheduling so assembly is not used as a substitute for furniture restoration.
