Standard, L-Shaped and Standing Desks
Standard desks may have only a frame and top, while L-shaped workstations include left/right return orientation that should be confirmed before assembly. Standing desks can add lifting columns, control boxes and cables. Send the exact model so the layout and powered components are understood before work starts.
Drawers, Hutch Sections and Cable Features
Desk systems often include drawers, keyboard trays, hutch sections, modesty panels or cable-management channels. Those parts should be installed in the correct sequence to keep the frame square. Internal electrical repair, outlet installation or permanent cable routing through walls is not included by default.
Workspace Clearance and Final Orientation
A large desk should be assembled with its final orientation in mind. Door swings, radiator locations, windows and existing furniture can affect whether an L-shaped return belongs on the left or right. Send room photos when space is tight, especially in smaller home offices.
Boxes, Parts and Assembly Instructions
Multi-box desks can be difficult to complete when a drawer pack or hardware carton has not arrived. Confirm delivery and keep labels/manuals available. NY-GoodHome does not promise to source proprietary replacement parts from a retailer or manufacturer.
Single Desk vs Office Furniture Project
For several desks, conference tables, filing cabinets or a larger workspace setup use Office Furniture Assembly. Mixed household pieces can use Furniture Assembly. If the room itself needs shelving or renovation, the corresponding service should be scoped separately. Use Contact NY-GoodHome with the desk model and room photos.
Before the Desk Is Assembled
Confirm the final orientation of L-shaped or return desks and show where drawers, doors and room traffic sit around the workspace. For standing desks, identify whether the top and powered frame came as one system or from separate products. If a hutch or tall shelf section is included, provide ceiling height and wall-clearance information before the frame is tightened into its final configuration.
