Hose-Connected vs Pumped Misting Systems
Identify whether the kit connects to a standard hose/spigot or uses a dedicated pump and permanent plumbing. The latter can move the project into licensed trade scope.
Nozzle and Line Layout
Provide the manufacturer layout guidance, line length and number of nozzles. The site should not promise engineered cooling performance or pressure balancing.
Water Source and Pressure Requirements
Customers can provide the product’s stated requirements and existing water-source type. NY-GoodHome does not redesign plumbing or certify pressure without qualified expertise.
Mounting to Pergolas, Patios or Structures
Lines may attach to pergola beams, patio covers or other supports. The existing structure must be suitable, and drilling/fastening should not compromise waterproofing or structural systems.
Pump Power and Electrical Boundary
Plug-in pumps differ from hardwired equipment. New circuits/outlets remain electrician scope. General Electrical Services is informational, not proof of available electrical work.
Winterization and Permanent Plumbing Boundary
Permanent plumbing and freeze-protection design require proper trade scope. Related Pergola Installation or Patio Cover Installation pages cover structures, not utilities. Use Contact only to screen a supplied hose-connected/plug-in consumer system.
Before a Misting-System Request Is Screened
Provide the manufacturer kit, total line length, nozzle count, water connection type, pump model and power method. Show the structure where lines will mount and note winter exposure. If the system needs new plumbing, a pressure-pump circuit, permanent wall penetrations or custom hydraulic design, it should be routed to qualified plumbing/electrical scope rather than treated as a simple hose-connected kit.
Parts of this project may require a licensed, structural or specialist provider. The page keeps those boundaries explicit.
