Shower Wall vs Floor Tile
Wall and floor tiles face different slope/traction/layout constraints. Provide material/size and complete shower photos.
Substrate and Waterproofing Behind Tile
Loose/damaged substrate or failed waterproofing must be addressed before new tile. NY-GoodHome does not guarantee unseen membrane integrity.
Layout, Cuts, Niches and Edges
Niches, valves, shelves and edges need planned cuts/trim. Electrical/plumbing fixture relocation is separate.
Cracked, Loose or Hollow Tiles
Localized repair requires matching material and a sound substrate. Recurring cracks/loose areas can indicate broader failure.
Grout and Change-of-Plane Joints
Use Grout Repair for joint-specific work; flexible sealant may be appropriate at system changes depending on design.
Tile Repair vs Full Shower Remodel
Shower Pan Installation covers base systems; Shower Remodeling covers broader renovation. Use Contact with tile, substrate/waterproofing history and photos.
Before Shower-Tile Work Is Scheduled
Provide tile dimensions/material, total repair/install area and full shower photos including pan, corners, niches and valves. For repairs, identify matching spare tile and explain any leak history or hollow/loose areas. If substrate or waterproofing is exposed, damaged or unknown after a leak, the scope may need a qualified shower-remodel/waterproofing system rather than a surface-only tile patch.
