RTA, Prefabricated and Cabinet-System Installation
Send the manufacturer cabinet list, elevations or planner if available. Base, wall and tall cabinets should be identified by size and location. A defined RTA system is different from custom cabinetry fabricated to the room, so the product/design stage should be settled before installation is scoped.
Base, Wall and Tall Cabinet Layout
The cabinet run should account for appliances, corners, fillers and finished panels. Wall cabinets depend on suitable support and level reference lines; base cabinets affect countertop fit. Send room measurements and photos of the existing walls/floor before the installation is described as a simple box-by-box assembly.
Leveling, Scribing and Out-of-Square NYC Walls
Older walls and floors can be uneven. Fillers, shims or scribing may be needed to create practical fit, but the project cannot be promised perfectly square without considering the actual room. Significant wall repair or structural issues are separate.
Doors, Drawers, Hinges and Alignment Repairs
Existing cabinets may need hinge adjustment, door alignment, drawer-slide service or localized repairs. Hardware-only upgrades belong under Cabinet Door, Drawer Pull & Hardware Upgrades when the cabinet boxes themselves are sound.
Countertop, Appliance and Utility Boundaries
Cabinet installation often interfaces with countertops, sinks, ranges, dishwashers and electrical/plumbing locations. Those trades are not automatically included. Countertop fabrication, sink plumbing, appliance hookups and electrical relocation need separate scope and qualifications.
Cabinet Hardware Upgrade vs Full Cabinet Work
Standalone storage furniture belongs under Cabinet & Storage Cabinet Assembly, while whole-room renovation belongs under Kitchen Remodeling. Use Contact with the cabinet list, layout and photos. NY-GoodHome does not claim GC licensing, permit handling or custom cabinet fabrication without evidence.
Before Cabinet Installation Is Scheduled
Provide a cabinet schedule or planner with unit widths and locations, plus photos of the empty or existing kitchen. State whether old cabinets are already removed and whether countertops, appliances, plumbing and electrical locations will remain unchanged. This separates cabinet installation from demolition, stone fabrication and licensed utility work before the project is accepted.
