Replacement Mesh vs New Screen Panels
Re-screening an existing frame differs from building/installing new screen panels. Send photos of the frame channel/edges and the new mesh or panel product.
Porch, Patio and Opening Locations
Identify whether the screen spans a porch opening, patio opening, gazebo side or another frame. The surrounding structure must already be suitable for the chosen system.
Frame Condition and Attachment Method
Loose, rotten or bent framing can prevent a clean screen installation. NY-GoodHome does not rebuild structural porch framing simply because mesh needs support.
Mesh Type, Dimensions and Edge Details
Fiberglass, metal, pet-resistant and other mesh products have different handling and fastening. The customer should specify the selected product or desired material rather than expecting a universal mesh.
Screen Installation vs Full Screen Room Construction
Window mesh uses Window Screen Repair & Replacement, screen doors use Screen Door Installation & Repair, and a full enclosure uses Screen Room & Screenhouse Installation, which is construction-sensitive.
Before Installation
Provide each opening width/height, frame photos and how the screen is intended to attach. If posts, guardrails, roof framing or new doors must be constructed, separate those tasks before ordinary mesh installation is scheduled. Use Contact with product/system details.
Before Screen Installation Is Scheduled
List each opening separately with width and height and show the full frame plus close-ups of corners and attachment points. State whether the customer is supplying loose mesh, framed panels or a complete porch-screen kit. If the work adds new posts, guards, doors or roof framing, separate that construction from the mesh/screen portion before scheduling.
