Decks, Fences, Patios and Walkways
These common surfaces each need different pressure and cleaning approaches. A weathered wood deck is not treated the same as concrete or pavers.
Siding and Other Compatible Exterior Surfaces
Some siding can be cleaned when manufacturer/material condition permits. Loose panels, failing paint or water-sensitive assemblies should be reviewed before pressure is applied.
Dirt, Organic Growth and Surface Staining
Identify whether the concern is ordinary dirt, algae/organic growth, grease or another stain. Cleaning results vary by material and stain type; NY-GoodHome does not guarantee full stain removal.
Pressure Level and Delicate-Surface Risk
Historic masonry, soft wood and deteriorated coatings can be damaged. NY-GoodHome does not claim every exterior surface is safe to pressure wash.
Preparation Before Staining or Painting
Cleaning can be one preparation step before Deck Staining & Finishing, Fence Painting & Staining or Exterior Painting, but drying and surface prep still follow the coating system.
Ground-Level vs High-Rise or Facade Scope
Provide surface type, square footage, water access, approximate height and surrounding conditions. Hardscape Installation & Repair handles physical surface repair. Use Contact for safely accessible private-property cleaning only if owner capability is confirmed.
Before Power Washing Is Scheduled
Provide approximate square footage, water connection availability, material type and close-up photos of stains or failing coatings. Identify nearby doors, windows, electrical fixtures and delicate landscaping. If the request involves a roof, upper façade, historic masonry or chemical restoration, route it out of ordinary power-washing scope before scheduling.
