Small Holes and Anchor Damage
Former shelves, TVs, pictures or fixtures can leave small holes. Identify whether anchors remain and what finish is expected afterward.
Larger Openings and Cut-Out Repairs
Plumbing/electrical access holes or impact damage can require backing/patch pieces. If utilities still need work, coordinate those trades before closing the wall.
Cracks, Seams and Settlement Clues
A one-time seam crack differs from recurring movement. The page should not promise a permanent cosmetic fix if the underlying cause continues.
Drywall vs Plaster Walls
Plaster/lath and drywall require different approaches. Loose old plaster or specialty finishes may need broader specialist restoration.
Water Damage and Underlying Cause
Wet or stained board should not simply be patched until the source is fixed and material condition is understood.
Repair Finish Before Painting
Drywall Finishing can cover broader skim/taping, while Interior Painting covers the final finish. Use Contact with dimensions and cause/history.
Before Wall Repair Is Scheduled
Measure each damaged opening/crack and identify whether utilities were accessed behind the wall. Show texture/finish and adjoining corners or trim that may affect patch blending. If the wall remains wet, moves, bulges or contains suspect material, stop treating the issue as cosmetic drywall repair. For several rooms, list each repair separately so the content package stays page-specific rather than generic.
