Walls, Ceilings and Trim
List which surfaces are included; doors/baseboards/crown and ceilings should not be assumed from “paint room.”
Surface Prep, Patching and Sanding
Minor prep differs from extensive drywall/plaster repair. Use the repair/finishing pages for substantial surface work.
Color, Sheen and Existing Coating
Customer-selected color/sheens and compatible products should be defined. Dark-to-light or glossy/problem coatings can affect prep/coats.
Occupied Apartments and Furniture Protection
State whether rooms are occupied and who moves furniture. Building/elevator access and protection should be planned; COI claims are not assumed.
Doors, Baseboards and Detailed Trim
Trim has more edges/detail and may need separate prep. Damaged trim should be repaired before paint.
When Drywall Repair Is Needed First
Use Drywall & Wall Repair, Drywall Finishing and Ceiling Repair where needed. Use Contact with room counts/dimensions and condition photos.
Before Interior Painting Is Scheduled
List each room and exactly which surfaces are included—walls, ceilings, doors, trim or closets. Provide approximate dimensions and photos of holes, cracks, peeling, stains or glossy/dark existing coatings. State whether furniture will be moved by the customer and whether color/paint has already been selected. Significant drywall/plaster repair should be separated before a paint-only schedule is promised.
