Wallpaper Removal and Adhesive Residue
Identify existing wallcovering type/layers if known. Removal method and wall damage vary; old adhesive may need cleaning/skim repair.
Wall Prep Before New Covering
Walls should be sound, smooth and compatible with the covering. Holes/cracks/peeling paint may require Drywall & Wall Repair or finishing first.
Pattern Repeat, Seams and Corners
Provide roll dimensions, pattern repeat and total wall measurements. Large repeats can increase material need; corners/openings affect layout.
Peel-and-Stick vs Traditional Wallpaper
Peel-and-stick still requires suitable clean smooth surfaces; traditional paper may use paste/adhesive specified by manufacturer.
Bubbles, Lifting and Localized Repair
Existing lifting can reflect adhesive or moisture/substrate issues. Matching old paper for a patch may be impossible without spare material.
Wallpaper Removal vs Painting or Wall Repair
After removal, Interior Painting may follow once the substrate is ready. Use Contact with wall dimensions, product/roll info and surface photos.
Before Wallpaper Work Is Scheduled
Provide each wall width/height, number of rolls, roll dimensions and pattern repeat, plus photos of corners, windows, outlets and current finish. For removal, state how many visible layers exist and whether the wall has been painted/primed beneath them if known. Specialty murals, fabric wallcoverings, unstable plaster or extensive skim repair should be identified before ordinary installation/removal is accepted.
